Hallett Tru Flo is our brand new gutter guard product, made in the USA with strong extruded aluminum that expands and contracts with your gutters, and #30 stainless steel mesh that will never rot or distort, keeping debris out of your gutters.  Tru Flo’s U-Bend technology helps prevent water from running over your gutters, protecting your foundation from damage.  Available for 5" and 6" gutters.

TRU FLO INSTALLATION TIPS

  1. Ensuring a Smooth Flow:  Imagine your roof shingles as a ramp leading water towards the gutters. If a shingle is lifted or uneven, it creates a "roof ramp" that might send water cascading over the gutter guard instead of flowing into it. This can also cause water to sneak back under the shingle, potentially leading to leaks. To prevent this, you might need to make a slight adjustment at the back of the gutter guard, gently bending it to create a smooth transition for water flow.
  2. Finding the Perfect Pitch:  On steeper roofs or for gutters hanging further below the roofline, the gutter guard's mesh trough might need a little tweaking. The ideal position is for the trough to sit slightly lower than the front lip of the gutter, by about 1/8th of an inch. This can be easily achieved by gently pressing down along the trough with your fingers. This ensures optimal water flow through the guard and into the gutter system.
  3. Sealing the Deal:  Before securing the gutter guards with screws, double-check for any gaps between the gutter rail and the guard itself. These gaps can act like little escape routes for water runoff, defeating the purpose of the guards.  In some cases, simply creating the proper trough position (as mentioned in point 2) can eliminate any existing gaps.  By following these simple tips, you can ensure your gutter guards are installed for optimal performance, keeping your gutters flowing freely and your home protected from water damage.
